Obama is finished, even the New York Slimes can't ignore this:

Some reading for you Obama lovers

And remember, this is the New York Times, a piece of crap paper which cannot be accused of pro GOP bias :thumbsup

junkiefans 10-10-2008 03:39 PM

I don't think the American public is going to care about that.

They are more concerned with the economic turmoil we are in.

Mutt 10-10-2008 03:40 PM

the amounts are tiny - take a look at paysite signups you'll see how many people sign up for shit with made up names, i'm sure even charities get the same thing - whoever made the donations to Obama's campaign didn't want to be known for whatever reason - maybe it's some Republicans who are afraid they'd be ratted out.

fallenmuffin 10-10-2008 03:41 PM

You're right dude. Obama shouldn't win because some people made online donations with bullshit info. </sarcasm> You never put [email protected] as your email huh?

You must learn to read.

"There is no evidence that questionable contributions amount to anything more than a small portion of Mr. Obama’s fund-raising haul. The Times’s analysis, conducted over a few days and looking for obvious anomalies, like names or addresses with all consonants, identified about $40,000 in suspect contributions that had not been refunded by the campaign as of its last filing with the Federal Election Commission, in September.

It appears that campaign finance records for Senator John McCain, the Republican nominee, contain far fewer obviously false names, although he has taken in about $200 million in contributions, less than half Mr. Obama’s total. Mr. McCain did collect about $173,000 from donors who appear in campaign finance records with only a name and have no other identifying information. Mr. Obama collected about $314,000 from such donors"

SO basically this is the kind of thing that happens in Campaign fund raising its nothing new or unusual. I wonder what W's Fake contributions amounted...

fusionx 10-10-2008 03:42 PM

hahaha

funniest thing I've EVER seen.

When they match these up with actual bank account deposits, or look for cashed checks, they'll probably find NOTHING, or very few matches..

this looks EXACTLY like programmers testing database update routines...

"But even a contributor who used the name “Jgtj Jfggjjfgj,” and listed an address of “thjtrj” in “gjtjtjtjtjtjr, AP,” was able to contribute $370 in a series of $10 donations in August."

"Last December, someone using the name “Test Person,” from “Some Place, UT,” made a series of contributions, the largest being $764, to Senator Barack Obama’s presidential campaign totaling $2,410.07."

"Someone identifying himself as “Jockim Alberton,” from 1581 Leroy Avenue in Wilmington, Del., began giving to Mr. Obama last November, contributing $10 and $25 at a time for a total of $445 through the end of February. "

Notice how it's always a series of smallish donations?

There is a great article coming out in the New York Times monday that explains how this mess is the love child of Jimmy "Fail" Carter and was then inplemented by Bill "SuckMe" Clinton.

Makes me wonder if the Obama secret backer forgot to pay his monthly bribing fee to the NYT?

Snake Doctor 10-10-2008 04:59 PM

The thread starter has a really distorted perception of reality. You either didn't read the whole article, chose to ignore the parts that say basically it's not a big deal and alot of McCain's donors have done the same thing, or it's just wishful thinking on your part.

Your choice of the "new york slimes" makes me believe it's the 3rd.

aico 10-10-2008 05:04 PM

LMAO, ya he's finished... you've clearly lost your fucking mind. Did you even read the article? Or just the headline?

And Obama raised about double what McCain did , so everything seems right about equal...
Nice spin put on it in the headline though.

Prove Obama knew. " The minute MR. Obama found out about this an investigation was begun, and the person/s responsible will be terminated and or face criminal charges "

Thats all they have to say and Obama is in the Clear.

That's futile.

NAU will include Canada.

Fucked up part is that it don't matter who wins.

BlackCrayon 10-10-2008 07:08 PM

It really has nothing to do with Obama himself. I'm sure a lot of people who donated did not want their names to be made public.

With all the shit that McCain has done wrong or flipped on then add in Palin's dirty background and you think 1 little thing such has bad donors is going to finish him.. lol

All polititions get dirty money in their campaigns. It's nothing new, they just have top give it back or donate it somewhere. In a case like Obama's so many people have donated I'm quite sure it's hard for them to check them all. Besides that the biggest one was $769 the others were $10 to $25 each. lol so get real it's not like accepting bribe money from lobbyist like McCain does.

Well you work in a industry, where you can wind up in jail. So you should make it your thing. Ill give you a easy one, John Mccains good friend charles keating is the guy who tried to put Larry Flynt away for life for selling dirty magazines.

woj 10-10-2008 08:17 PM

This is so stupid, but kinda funny how one can easily spin the facts....

McCain got 200M in contributions, 173k are "questionable" = .0865%
Obama got 450M in contributions, 314k are "questionable" = .0698%

so McCain actually has 24% more "questionable" contributions... :1orglaugh
