Monitor has red pixel section?
 

My 1 year old dell monitor has 20% of the left part of the screen red during startup and about 5% while in windows. I tried a different video card but no luck. Anyone know what this could be and how I can fix it?

Have you tried replacing the DVI/VGA cable?

this is what happened to mine after I cleaned it.. top left and right corners are smaller then the fuck up in the pic and it's solid blue.

of course, I can't do shit to fix it.. I just missed the warranty period when this happened. If it had happened a month before I could have gotten a new monitor for free.

ok, that's VERY different from what I have.. I've never seen that before..

Dosen't seem hardware related, the icons are showing up fine on top... weird

shame... looks a nice moniter though

have you tried updating the video drivers

think it's time to get a new one if it really bothers you

You could always just change your background to Red.. :winkwink:


otherwise I'd try to RMA
