Can RAZR 2 compete with iPhone?

It's not even a very similar product, they're not really competing too directly.

"The Razr 2 will compete with Apple Inc.'s iPhone, which San Antonio-based AT&T began selling exclusively on June 29. AT&T and Verizon will sell it with a two-year contract for $299.99. The cheapest version of the iPhone sells for $499 under similar terms.", as per the article.

hell no, its just a repackaged razr....smaller some extra options

the razr was cool when it first came out.. now it's played they should have made something completely different imo.. only people who will buy this are personal users..

Just because they say they are competing doesn't mean they will be directly... sure there is competition between all mobile phones

but the iPhone and the Razr2 aren't similar at all. I doubt there will be many people who are hung between a Razr2 and an iPhone.

furthermore, I don't think there's anything particularly innovative or special about the new razr - they may benefit from old razr users who like the style and want to upgrade.
