What's your favorite kind of coffee or coffee drink??

It's gotten to the point where I have to drink 3 cups of straight coffee to get any kind of caffeine buzz going. So, I'm looking for something new with a little more kick to it.

Any suggestions???

Scott...I drink those foofy Starbucks drinks & it's gotten to the point where I am adding Espresso shots to them.
Try a latte with double the espresso, that should kick you into gear & not taste like total shit. :)

SykkBoy 05-18-2007 08:33 AM

White chocolate mocha with two extra shots

Sorry folks... if it's real espresso-roast coffee, although the roast imparts flavor it also reduces caffeine. The main appeal of "espresso" to commercial coffee establishments is that because most of what they serve is flavored or at least cut with milk, the coffee needs a more harsh taste to compete. Thus they can get away with using cheaper "Robusta" beans...

dunkin donuts or seattle's best. Black, no sugar. :)

SuzzyQ 05-18-2007 11:26 AM

Agree, my personal opinion is that espresso gets most of coffee beans, at least it has the best effect on me :winkwink:
Also, try americano with Sambuka, around 80% coffee/20% sambuka, it tastes delicious :thumbsup

I like Cappuccino with cream:)

Ok I might be a little abnormal here.

I use to work night shift for about 20 years. I use to drink a 12 cup pot just to wake up than another 12 cup pot to get through the night. Black no sugar. A couple of years ago I move to Brazil. I was drinking coffee that was pick from the back yard and roosted that morning. After this you are never going to like this crap they sell in the states again. If you are really a coffee addict, you must do this at least once in your life.

You get your own espresso machine from starbucks called a Barista, they are made by a well known Italian espresso machine maker, then you get a mill type coffee grinder, not just a regular grinder only a mill type. After you have these awesome tools you buy Lavazza super crema coffee beans by the case, at this point you can have instant access to the best espresso and caffeine fix whenever you want.

I bought a Barista espresso maker from Starbucks four years ago and it still kicks ass. I had the krups type and some other lame machines, but when I bought that Italian made unit from Starbucks my coffee world change forever.

Hmmmmmmm.......I am having a double right now and my house smells like Starbucks..

All american coffees suck...

As far as I can tell, you won't. Something just gets lost in the boat ride.

i like the result of what you're talking about, but it sounds like a lot of work to get it :(

i'll have to go out and get a girlfriend to do that for me....and that's not something i really want to do :food-smil10

A triple espresso cappuccino with sugar free caramel syrup is what gets me into high gear about 10am everyday... :thumbsup

That's after a good strong 12 oz. cup of 8 O'Clock Regular Red Bag coffee made with a French press about 9am. Since I'm off the sugar I usually go with a couple of packs of sweetener with the first cup but I look forward to that 10 am delight. You can get these at any good coffee shop too! :)
