Owned! Woman wins $2 on game show after turning down deal
http://thsrv.com/p/dond-owned.jpg
This is the Australian version of "Deal Or No Deal" Bank offer at this point was $22, she laughed and turned it down. The second last case eliminated $50, meaning her case contained $2. Earlier in the game the deal offers - which she refused - had been wandering around the $5,000 mark. OWNED!!! :1orglaugh |
Ok!

That game looks cheap compared to the American one.

"Well, <insert host's name>, I came here today with nothing, so if I leave with nothing I've still had fun. I'll go for it!!!" I think someone once won 50c. |

There are quite a few who have walked away with 1p on the UK version, but only one who has got the 250 grand.
BTW as much as I hate to admit it I really enjoy the show despite the majority of people on there being some of the biggest wankers in world history. |
That will teach the greedy bitch
|
I saw a guy win 1 EUR once on deal or no deal.
Sucks to be them :) |
Greed and failure are close friends :winkwink:
|
poor girl....
|
Well that show is funny.I remember one girl from my city which could take half million but alternative was 5$ so she didnt wanna risk and she take what bank was offer. And after that when she guessed she would take half million.

That's actually just a nice way of saying "shit!" |
my fav was the huge guy on the american version... he either was gunna win 500k or 10 bux, he won 10 bux... hahaha
|
i've seen people turn down 6 figures on deal or no deal only to walk away with a few $100 :thumbsup
|
greedy people dont deserve anything
|
i get so nervous watching shows like that! these people don't know when to walk away while they're ahead! :/
|
ive seen ppl turn down $200k, only to wind up leaving with something like a couple thousand dollars
|
I've never really understood the fascination with the whole "Deal or no Deal" thing.
All they're doing is picking cases. There's no need for knowledge, skill, or intellect... it's just dumb luck. The only skill is in the host's delivery, and the guy who composed the algorithm that tells them how much to offer the contestant. |

Now the funny thing is when there were 4 cases left the offer was $128K, her friend says "You didn't come here for $128K". When the offer drops to $60K her friend says "$60K is a lot of money, take the deal". WTF? Ok $128K and $198K weren't enough, now $60K is? |
Mon Dieu! How can I continue to live with this news?

hahahaha, fucking idiots! thats what greed does! i bet the rest of her life she'll be regretting turning down that $198 k !!! :1orglaugh |

I'd say there's a screening process that chooses that type of person. :helpme |

They got that show here also, 99% of the people playing it are fucking retards ... always talking about "i have a good feeling about that number" or "it's the birthday of the son of the daughter of my sisters best friend"
LOL, I mean it's a fucking case with a number and a random value in it ... you asswipes :) And when a big one gets opened they're like "I knew it, I knew it" ... well then why the hell did you open it? Fact is, most of those people have never managed to get like $20K together, yet they gamble with it like it's not real money they're talking about. If you follow the shows you know the amount that can be reached safely, when you come near that, take the deal. Unless you're rich and don't give a shit about losing some money. |
