So I had a friend send $2,700 to Nigeria....
 

She swears the guy is going to send her $10,000 back.:disgust I tried to tell her it was a scam but she rushed right up too Western Union with the cash after receiving an email. I don't get people, if it sounds to good to be true then is probably isn't.

That makes sense...usually older people are the ones who these people prey upon to fall for these types of scams...I feel sorry for her because they are going to be laughing all the way to the bank.

I agree, too many people are falling for it, as soon as people stop falling for it then scammers will just close shop.

I was selling a laptop on ebay and would get lots of the "I am in the military on tour, I'll pay with a check, but I have to get this soon as I may not be at this location long, I'll send a courior pick up so that it doesnt cost you anything to ship"
Or something similar to that. So I said ok to one, and had the courier he sent pick up a 5' peice of rail track, weighed like 100 lbs.
2 weeks later he sent an email saying I was scamming him, lol. He send a check, looked like it was made with a typewriter and on plain white paper, lol.
The tracking showed it went to somewhere in nigeria, must have cost him a pretty penny to have the rail shipped to him too, lol.

When I had a business on Ebay 2 years ago, I got contacted by a Nigerian asshole once.

He was willing to pay almost double the price for an Ipod, saying he'll pay bla bla.

So he wanted me to send him a "sent" recite, that I mailed him the Ipod and he would transfer me the money.

To my surprise I never got the money, though I sent him a well packed piece of dog in an Ipod box. I even perfumed it! Strange how nobody ever wrote from Nigeria again...

I was one of first who was scammed in time when this was not widely know.Fortunatly i didnt have a peny on bank account so i didnt lost anything :)

i wouldnt send 50 cents let alone $2,700
