Do you have ever someone understimate you?
For example, imagine your a person who makes good money, but perhaps your in your early twenties or dress casual so even though you're successful other people don't take you seriously. I'm talking about first impressions, not people you have known for awhile...
Perhaps people might assume that you come from a wealthy family etc while you in fact earned it all on your own. Does this ever happen to you and if so how do you deal with it? Is it something that bothers you a lot, or do you just not care about what others think? Thread title should be "Do people ever underestimate you" or "has anyone ever underestimated you?" I phrased it wrong. |
Yes, some people have underestimated me, but I don't care what people think. What they think will not affect my life so why should I even bother caring?

It happens. Fuck 'em.

In the Asian business world, it's my understanding that getting someone to underestimate you is often sought after so that you might exploit the situation to your advantage.
Learn as much as you can about others, reveal as little as possible about yourself. Not that that's the way I do business myself... I can be an open book... but it certainly is a perspective. |
Sure it has happened but sometimes people have regretted it.

I love it when people underestimate me.
