Will mobile phones lead to a second life for pic post sites?

Think about it. Mobile has the future, yet with extremely small screens, it isn't a good medium for normal galleries. Pic posts, on the other hand, do seem well-suited for mobile phones.

Yes, they can. However, most people (in America and Europe, at least) don't use their mobile phones for surfing that much... yet. Also, the typical pic post is not geared to mobile phones - almost all sites look like absolute crap on a typical mobile phone.

Right now, people are selling single pics for several dollars on sites geared towards mobile phones, with 15-second videos fetching as much as $10. A site giving away a decent amount of free pics should be able to draw decent traffic, if not now then in the future, then sell short vids for a decent amount of money. (after that, of course, come the vid posts, etc.)
