Whats a good but cheap digital camera for under $50?

you can buy good or you can buy cheap. You won't get both. plurge and spend $100 for a reasonable one.

$50 is unrealistic even for a starter camera.

I have and Canon A520 which is pretty decent and I loaded up with accessories etc for slightly less than $200 over year ago.

I saw this Canon at NewEgg .. "Canon A410 Silver 3.2MP Digital Camera 1/3.2"
CCD 1.5" 120K LCD 3.2X Optical Zoom 3.2X Digital Zoom"

That's pretty good for only $99

Next time you upgrade your cell phone get one with a camera/video built in. I never use mine for that but it would work for you.
Samsung A920

I'm hoping you mean $500. Cause $50 will only buy you a .3 mpx Barbie digicam.
