I guess the Egyptians were more advaced then any other "empires".....I heard that 70% of the products we use daily in US, consumes all of 70% of egyptian languages and symbols (which in case are not in English) but only translated for the 85 percenters......They also started all that astrological signs which we see every day on our TV's and Movies (the mountain on the parmount logo that resembles the pyramid) and (The columbian picture logo of the female which represents the virgin/virgo holding her Illuminating torch behind the SUn) Etc etc....The Romans held down on all those scales passed down from the Egyptians 2....Look at the EXXon symbol next time and notice the double cross on the logo....that symbol was held and practiced by the roman catholics....they even have the pope holding the double cross signs and shit... Some of these things are the real messages behind those symbols we don't even know about.....its scary sometimes how simple pictures and logos can really fool people....ohh Yeah say MTV couple of times, it will eventually sound as EMPTY TV.....Mind programming my friends....Not good

You can't really compare them that way. Ancient Egypt pre-dated the other two. Then came Ancient Greece (the foundation of Western Civilization aka the "European Miracle"). The Romans came later and built from what the Greeks accomplished. As far as I know, only the Romans went out and spread civilization thru conquest to large regions of Europe. Their spreading of civilization was a watershed for the Continent. The modern world is hardwired on western principles.

Who was more advanced in terms technology could be a matter of debate. They were probably similar and the Greeks may have benefited from knowledge filtered down from the earlier Egyptian empire. But as far as concrete influence is concerned, if it wasn't for the Greeks who knows if any of this would exist today.

I agree with you statement 100 percent but sometimes these things are just repeating in cycles through out different dominant civilizations....From the Wester point of view, Egypt was the main ones, then down to Greeks, Romans and now down to US....Are these things happening for better or for worst?? We really don't know but the progress we're making towards technology and like of are really not helping the society out too much.....if not, these technologies are actually entrapping us the people into a global prison systems....

alan-l 07-16-2006 04:37 PM

well, for one egyptians were all about high profile :1orglaugh

Greeks were the shitnizz and Alexander was something, he fucked the Persians royal style

Then we have Romans, who took a lot from Greeks, but they ruled over Greeks AND Egyptians, and at the same time they took all elements from their culture (built from previous cultures) and brought it to every known place, building the basement for what we know as Western Civilization. They mastered in law and the basis from modern law still is Roman Right. Being not the most creative people, they were smart not to kill other cultures, but to adopt and improve them. So, I'd say they all were excellent, but Romans kicked ass

I would say the Romans due to their pioneering ideas and mastery of public works, water and resource delivery, unified bureaucratic management, and other management/technical innovations.

I shall also have to go with the Romans.
They effectively ruled the world for the most part.
They mastered the art of water delivery, the foundation of any civilization.
They effectively figured out both plumbing and hygiene.
They brought the technology and effectiveness of warfare to an all time high, even to the point of assuring that the enemies could not throw back roman weapons that missed their targets.
They built upward effectively creating multiple story apartment buildings to stay within the walls of confined cities.
They sought out and discovered any and all foreign technologies and improved on them, such as concrete.
They maintained cities with populations that would never be seen again in such numbers for close to a thousand years.
And the list could go on and on.

The Vikings knew how to have fun and kicked ass :)

What about the Assyrians? Or their more "cultured" neighbours the Babylonians?

Of the three, Egypt gets my vote because its so damned interesting. The other two are too but they all developed years after the Egyptians pioneered many things.

ETCKon 07-16-2006 06:19 PM

Romans are only good for inventing the system = Shitting/Pissing = plumbing system = subway systems..... They went thru the birth of OCTavian Dienasty trickling down to PUnic wars then to The last Theodosian Die nasty in span of a thousand and 2 score years...Smart things came from Those Ro Mans but the only thing i could think of are the once Eye said above....ohh yeah also i think we got that umm whats that called the original facist symbol(the eagle and the scorpion) from them also...Wait i thought the watering sytem came from the Egypt thru the pyramid shape.....Check the Real Geometrics before Roaming and desribing around below 3 lines of empires..
