This website is fucking awesome- TV and Movie lovers only

Ok TV lovers and Movie lovers you will love this.

This website has almost every single show you could think of that's on American and English shows (full list below). Not just that, it has plenty of movies too and if they don't have what you want you can vote for it or email them and request it and they will add it to their list of shows!

Here comes the best bit...you can stream it and it is so fucking fast that it doesn't slow down once throughout a show so it's just like watching TV. Or if you want you can download any of the shows and save them on your harddrive.

I just leave it there playing whilst I'm working. Since I started I've completed seeing all of the first series of Lost and am half way through the second series.

I don't like paying for pirated stuff :)

DoogleBoogle 06-30-2006 04:43 PM

I remember reading somewhere that it's all legal since they don't do any advertising or something. I'll ask him again and give you full details.

Here is what the TamalTV admin said:

TamalTV is not 100% legal. In order to be legal you have to pay fees to
rebroadcast the shows over any media. However, there are some paragrphs in
the law that state that if you broadcast the signal for non profit, you can
do that. For example, say you taped a show and then invite some friends to
watch it at your home, that same principle would apply here.

The MPAA would say that its not true, but the law is there and it's a cloudy
one.

Also note that our NSV format cannot be converted to any AVI or MPG format
by usual ways so it cannot be burned to a CD using the usual means which
somehow protects the rights of the original authors for massive
redistribution.

You have got to be kidding ?

How the heck do you confuse the right to show your friends the tape of last nights show with it being legal to broadcast it as you see fit ?

That's like asuming that if you find a dollar on the street you probably wouldn't go to jail for taking it, so then it must be okay to rob a bank too *lol*

Money is being made from "donations" (btw, calling it a donation wont hold water eigther if you have to donate to wiev) so it's not non-profit and no way close to legal.

Nor is it legal for you promoting it with your reff code knowing that it's "not 100% legal"
:2 cents:

Bdiddy 07-05-2006 05:43 PM

if they had entourage i'd be in

donation means paying is optional. So if they say 'donation' they just mean price.... why the fuck they call it a donation then?

Hah... I know, maybe that's his way of trying to get around the who legal thing. I use it since even it doesn't effect me that it's illegal, it saves me having to download them and also he is the one who will get caught for it if it is illegal but not me. Crafty TV also do the same thing, I used to use them until tamaltv came around. Here's crafty's legal thing http://www.craftytv.com/conditions.php .
