Webair Support?

Anyone from Webair support around tonight?

I'm having an issue with one of my dedicated servers, and the phone goes directly to an answering service (which is odd), and no one seems to be picking up on the live chat.

The ticket from this afternoon is sitting open, with no notes. An unrelated problem has now cropped up. On a Dual Xeon machine with 2GB of RAM, I'm getting the following usage with under 1Mbps of bandwidth consumption on this non-production server:

2:16AM up 3 days, 2:25, 1 user, load averages: 4.00, 2.10, 1.22

I don't see any reason the load should be that high, and it's slowing down the box considerably.

Please post here if anyone is available.

reboot ... or kill process... but reboot is the best :2 cents:

Sorry for not being clearer, but this was part of my original post:

Their online webbased support wait is longer than usual.
Not sure why.

Support has been....

not quite bad enough to post about. But getting close.

I don't think it was any fault of Webair, per se -- I think some of it was due to the work they were doing on the datacenter (did I have the date right, or am I crazy?), and maybe the on-call tech was taking a leak or something.

Nothing could be as bad as Candid Hosting treated me ... only had 5 servers with them, but when one went down on VERY minimal traffic, they blamed the traffic the box was getting, and had me down for WEEKS with no further explanation. Lost a ton of money, never got reimbursed for the losses, but got like $100 credit or some bullshit. I moved to Webair, and have been with them for the years since.

BChosting was one of the best companies I've worked with for "large" server farms. If anyone has 100Mbps or more and is looking for a good place to park a serious enterprise, hit me on ICQ, and I'll hook you up with their old CEO -- he's got something new cooking that's pretty hot.

Either way, one of the problems at Webair got fixed, and I'm sure the other one is close behind. Their support has always been top notch for me. Class-act company, top to bottom, from everything I've seen -- and they keep my servers running. I've never had any downtime to speak of .. that's really saying something.

Agreed. Most of my experiences with their support has been lickety-split.
