Best Softare To Keep My "HomePage" intact

Was told that maybe 'Internet Eraser" could prevent a site from changing my 'homepage' but not sure.

So, if you know of any software that can help me out, please let me know. Willing to pay a modest fee for the right program!

Thanks,

TekArt

Its called IE 6.0
Go and update your browser and keep it updated as new patches come out.

put activeX controls to 'prompt' and always reply 'no' unless you trust the site.

Naaa, fuck it - just download Opera 6, forget what a pop-up was ever meant to do and learn how much extra you can do with your mouse :thumbsup

only my second post but I'd have to concur: Opera is pretty darned good.

I think internetshredder.com resets your homepage back to normal as a 'scheduled task'.

cheers

Can we say Norton, or NORTON... perhaps norTon...

Maybe symantec? :winkwink:

Some of their products stop that BS.

http://www.symantec.com

Run their online virus scanner while you're there. Takes some time but it is the best way to scan your systems.

ya that'll work :)

tell ur surfers that too :winkwink:

Try this, works for me.

Before dangerous surfing go to tools, internet options, security, and click on custom level, change all of the settings to prompt.

Bookmarks: File import/export, export to html page. Then you can just import them back if something happens.

:thumbsup
