Going on vacation. I need a good digital camera. Any recommendations?

I don't need high-end pro stuff, but I'd like to buy a good one that will last for some time.

Any suggestions.

You should get the one me and your boyfriend have. I feel pretty gay having the same camera as another dude I know, but who cares, it was a good deal!

Oh and I already talked to the cruiseline. Your room will be streaming web cam footage to every gay paysite online. The good news is your trip will be comped!

K back on topic... lol I highly recommend the Nikon Coolpix S1. Takes up same amount of room in your back pocket as your wallet does, maybe less if you have lots of cash. lol Also it records automatically to .mov for the video part of it. If you are shooting in good light it does a nice job with the video, low light not so great. If going out for a daytime excursion with the kids I just throw that in my back pocket, and with a 1gb sd card I can do at least 30 mins of video, and over 200 pics at full 5.1MP. Highly recommend! :thumbsup

30 minutes of video. Wow, I am way out of touch regarding point & shoots...

I recommend the Canon Power Shot SD550 Elph, it's a nice compact 7.1 megapixel camera and it takes WONDEFUL pictures ! It also has a nice big screen on the back.
