How the hell do people calculate TV rating??
Anyone wondered how TV channels know hoe many people watch their shows? Like they would say 13.5 mill people watch a specific show last nigh. How the hell do they go about getting that #? Its not like there is a stats system or something. :question

*There are an estimated 110.2 million television households in the USA. A single ratings point represents 1%, or 1,102,000 households for the 2005-06 season. Share is the percentage of television sets in use tuned to a specific program.

I think they track it so that they can drop channels that people dont watch and replace them with better channels. If it wasnt for that we would end up with crappy channels. |
