How many Domains do you own ? How many actually have developed sites ?

Just wondering how many domain collectors are around.

I have around 150 domains

almost none are developped :1orglaugh

I have weeded myself down.
I only have domains I am either using, under development (5 or less), less than 10 in waiting, and around 5 waiting to expire.

This of course does not include variations of domains. Like the plural version, the non plural, the hypenated, and the non hypenated, etc.

It is claimed that only one is 8-10 are developed however I would say 1 in 5 or 1 in 3 even sometimes.

It is a fast however, more that double (at the very least) of registered domains are never developed into websites.

Ive got around 50. 3 are being used. The rest are parked at sedo making me money

how are they making you money? if you dont mind me asking

ppc income. I made $85 off those 47 sites last month

Is that before or after domain renewal fee's?

well I didnt have to renew any this month. but even if I did, I tend to get good pricing on that sorta thing (see sig)

Ok assuming you have 47 .com domains and no .biz etc. Each has to be renewed either yearly or up to 10 years ussually at same price times 10.
So 47 domains would come to 368.95 per year, 30.75 per month, 1.01 per day, or .042 cents an hour.

Just because something is paid for yearly does not mean it does not have a daily cost.

47 * $6.75 = $317.25

$85 * 12 = $1020

$1020 - 317.25 = $702.75 Profit / Yr (if I kept them that long)

The domains are only kept in ppc util they are sold. 99% of the time I no longer own them when it comes time for renewal

Your sig says 7.85 for .com not 6.75

you dont think I pay what my sig says do you ? I hope I can get a better price :)

Hell if I know, it is just what I based my rough math on for accounting purposes.

even paying $1 extra per domain/yr. Its still profitable.

it wont make you rich, but its extra money :)
