More Pages vs Less Pages
 

Hey everyone *waves to wolfshade*,
I'm kinda new and I run a post/link site combo. I see alot of big TGPs and Post sites with all their links on one HUGE page. Is it better to do that with the links divided into categories on one page? or make category pages with the links there? If you post back, please include why its better http://bbs.gofuckyourself.com/board/smile.gif

I'm the webmaster of Horny Hot TGP ( www.downlinefiesta.com )and I prefer placing links in categories for several reasons:

1: The visitors can go easily go to the kind of pics they want to see.
2: You can target a visitor who wants to see lesbian pics in the lesbian section with lesbian banners/sponsors.
3: The time a visitor has to wait to load a big link page with 500 links is longer then when the have to load a specialized page with 100 links some times

hmm, Thats what i thought also...but why do so many (www.easypic.com) for example use one huge page? I know they are UJC, is that why?

If you mix them up visitors will move up and down the page and keep passing sponsor stuff, also they just might be more likely to bookmark the page so that they can continue sorting through the page another nite. If you make a page really organised people just might pass through a bit too quickly. Think off the jerk circle theory but on a smaller scale.
