No free liquor, dealers that can't count blackjack, not enough tables, always a waiting line and I lost a shitload of cash to boot.

If you're ever on the east coast, don't go to the Halifax Casino, unless you're ready to put up with a retarded crew. :2 cents:

give free liquor to a bunch of nova scotians and you will have a bankrupt casino, i don't care if you're in vegas or whatever.

I remember when I first visited Texas to meet my hubby (we met via internet) we went on a trip to New Mexico and I was just blown away at how cool the casino was (Inn of the Mountain Gods, I believe it was called)

If the liquor problem aint bad enough, it's the fact that nova scotians are the ones counting the cards, I think the Pit Boss had to interupt our dealer like 3 times to tell them "That's a push". Almost got cheated out of my money .... infact, I did, but that's besides the point.

Canadian casinos are pretty tame. Not that I have a lot to compare them to, but ... not what I expected from a casino.

I've been growing acustom to the US ones with all my travels as of late, been playing in Vegas and New Orleans fairly often - and now to come to Halifax for this shit.

I'll give halifax credit for a beautiful harbour, and hot women, but it's still no vegas.

We have some HUGE and rather happening casinos here in Winnipeg. Club Regent is massive, so is the McPhillip's Street Station.

But when I was down in Montana a few years back I got a real eye-opener. Was in a few bars that had video gaming machines and I happened to play about ten bucks worth. Had dinner with the girl I was seeing back then, we had drinks and later ordered a bottle of wine to take back to the room with us. The bill arrived and it was $8. EIGHT fuckind dollars!!

I said "man, there must be some mistake"..... the bartender says "nope, no mistake. You GAMBLED, so you get your meals for half price and your drinks on the house."

I was floored. No way in hell they would do anything like that here.

Giving drinks on the house to any Canadian, or any Ex-Marine from the US - in my opinion, is a bad business plan. But most casino's water it down enough that they could care less.

I drank like a good Canadian too. Their drinks were pretty decent, we sat right at the bar and talked to the bartender all night. I alone must have put away about 15 fairly potent drinks.

It was the first time the tip I gave was bigger than the bill :1orglaugh

its not that bad. I have seen worse ( and better ).

Casinos in Ontario suck ass. The dealers are all stiff motherfuckers, not friendly and casual like Vegas. Drinks are not free and you can only drink until 2:00am.

Plus they put the casinos in some of the worst fucking locations. Who the hell wants to drive 2 hours down to Niagra falls or 1 1/2 hours up to cottage country?
