WTF!?!? Anyone know anything about Wireless??
 

For some fucking reason, lately, I will be online for a while.. but if my machine goes to a screen saver, or somethings nothing at all different, it will drop connection to the network. When I reconnect, it will keep connection for 5 seconds, then drop off agian. This little bullshit dance will happen like 40 times before it will stay online for any amount of time. Anyone know how I might be able to fix this? It's VERY frustrating.. Thanks in advance!

It could be your computer is powering down your NIC. I have a wireless USB NIC and everytime the screen saver kicks in or the laptop goes into powersave it turns off the NIC. I usually don't have any problems reconnecting after returning though.

See if you can change your ssid and your channel on the AP. Maybe you have a neighbor interfering.

Also make sure when the screensaver kicks in its not going into sleep mode.

Someone also told me that cordless phones can fuck with wireless.
