NEW YORK (CNN/Money) - The Federal Trade Commission plans to require that pornographic e-mail spam carry explicit messages in what amounts to an electronic version of the plain brown wrapper, a person familar with the plan said.

The commission will issue a new rule ordering marketers issuing porn spam to put the words "SEXUALLY EXPLICIT" in the subject line of any e-mail with raunchy content, the source told CNN.

I get about one e-mail a day that's already using the "sexually explicit" title.

There is more of this shit clogging up mailboxes than porn ads..

I get way more than that. I think more people are using SPAM now because it's legal as long as you follow a couple of simple guidelines.

If they think shutting down porn spam is gonna fix the problem, they are very wrong. Spam is never gonna go away.

They should fight spam and not regulate it!
