Hiring RELATIVES: Good idea or a Financial FISTING?
 

Sadly, my experience was the latter. I hired my cousin last year. She managed to fuck up a 80K contract. My fiscal anus took a bit to heal.

Don't hire relatives, hire the best. Relatives will not take you or your project as seriously because your relationship is less professional.

i've never personally hired a realtive, but...it's like any other group of people. you need to make sure they can do the job. competancy is a tough thing to find anywhere.
