How many of you spilled your drink on keyboard
 

I seem to do it all the time and I dont know why. I always have a can or two of soda and like every few weeks I knock it over and it spills. anyone else do the same

I had to take my laptop apart to clean up everything inside and put it back togheter.

at least once a week. my 5 and 2 dont work on the number pad anymore.

Spray it down with Fantastic and scrub with a paintbrush and blow it off with air.It will be like new

Funny that you ask, I just spilled coffee on my keyboard for the first time ever and I have been online since 95.

Soda is the worst! I bet your keys are horribly sticky.

actually they are not. and i dont know why. i quickly clean it up, that must be why

only accidentally blow a load on it once in a while, never any drinks though

Yupp... got a new laptop that way... glad the insurance covered it.

Drinks, gravy, lotion, u name it, ive spilled it on my kayboard. I am in front of this thing at least 12 hours a day so thats probably why. Taking the keys out one at a time to clean it sure is a pain in the ass!

Only happened once with lemonade, tried cleaning it up, but the keys would still stick down, so I just replaced the keyboard.

don't drink at the keyboard :)

I unscrew the back, take everything out, then pop the keys out one by one and soak em in bleach water.



Keyboards often contain many more bacteria than toilet seats, so I reccomend doing this often:)

And.... it's not a good idea to wipe your ass with your keyboafd.

That happens to me sometimes, but I don't get the keyboard damaged. I wipe it off immediately.

I have only spilled water in the keyboard, I just let it be.
But once I puked over it and I cleaned that up hehe,,,

never happened. then again i dont drink when im at the computer. and im not clumsy :P

I spilled a whole glass of juice on my keyboard once. I have a laptop. I thought I got it all, but a few weeks later my computer started to smoke and got really hot, and then it stopped working completely. I burned the entire hard drive to a crisp.:thumbsup

Happened a few times, I bet theres tons of shiet in my keyboard... Oh well it still works great :winkwink:

Beer and coffee...had to go buy a new keyboard so I could work until I fixed the old one. I am more careful now

I spilt a drink once or twice on my old one. Just got a new one though. I'll see how long I can keep it clean for.

Never spilled a drink on it......now cum is another story.

I'm always doing it :( I make sure I just buy really cheapo keyboards now - the other thing I do is knock the keyboard down the back of it's shelf and crack it on the floor.

i used to do it, but not anymore, i usually only have drinks with caps now by the computer:2 cents: :)

I spilt a heneiken all over my buddies girlfriends laptop. The thing shut off immediately and wouldnt turn back on.. I was kinda drunk and felt like a HUGE asshole. He told his girlfriend it was him... but he doesnt drink alcohol and it was only me and him in the room, so I knew she knew it was me. Next morning he turned it on and it worked fine with no problems. :glugglug

nothing major......maybe a few drops of coffee or something that was on the side of the cup

I always have something to eat & drink while glued on my comp but I haven't spilled anything on my keyboard yet.

Not yet but its dusty and fucked up from the cigarettes I smoke. I really need to take it apart and clean it.

Had that happened to me once before and it wasn't quite easy cleaning up afterwards! All sticky and wet!
