And do it quick, no later than 5 years from now. Start saving, slash your cost of living, and bankroll your exodus from the decaying, corrupt has-been USA.

Personally, I'm narrowing between Deutschland and Sweden. Other countries to consider would be Australia, NZ, Singapore, Vietnam (really!), Former russian states in east europe and chile. All have their own problems of course, but the opportunities far outweigh them.

I actually did think about leaving the US....I'm not native to this country and I'm not liking what's going on....but, when I started to research other countries...I kept coming to the conclusion that the US is better than anywhere else......

Besides, I'm a spoiled American, who loves air conditioning and bathrooms and soft toilet paper...

I've been to 6 other countries besides the US.

And I've talked to a lot of people who have also visited other countries.

One thing we all have in common.

We all found that all you have to do is leave the US and stay in another country for a couple weeks to start really appreciating this country. It's certainly not perfect, but there are few better places on earth to live.

You might be an exception, so don't the door hits you on the ass at the border.

There's loads of great countries to live in.

Visiting a place and living there is two different things. American's are used to certain things that aren't going to happen in most other nations. You don't see those as a visitor, or places tourists go. But when you start paying their taxes and start seeing what services are provided, you realize there are more differences than appear on the surface.

If you'd like to move to english speaking countries, I suggest Canada (Vancouver or Victoria), New Zealand, and Australia. The UK, and Ireland are cool too.

If you don't mind speaking German, I suggest Switzerland. The Netherlands is very cool too. Scandinavian countries are great, except the winters are a bit too cold for me.
