Stalking trial yesterday for those who were following along. (pics!)
 

OK, I know it was a baddy for me to take pictures in the courtroom..... But, if I never used my phone for anything else, this was worth it!

I know the quality sucks but this had to be done discreetly so the Judge did not see me doing it. I have a few more but I am waiting on the pics to get to my e-mail account from my phone still... I managed to get 4 or 5 good ones.

As far as the case goes, the Judge is granting the order of protection based on our testimony. Arika did very well representing herself considering this was her first need to be in a court room. I told her the most important rules were to have your questions written down (which I did before we went into the courtroom), try to maintain your compsore and flow (speed and pitch does play a part), and finally never ask a question we do not know they answer to. This apporach worked perfectly. The suspect was caught completey off gaurd and mad a complete ass of himself. He was also caught up in 2 different lies he told while on the stand. At one point he started crying and claiming that HE was the victim and that we have gone out of our way to ruin his life. Eventually the Judge lost his cool and advised the suspect to just keep his mouth shut.

Justice may have finally prevailed. :thumbsup

I knew they would not let me bring in a video camera or full sized one so I didn't even consider it going into the trial. But then, I was sitting there and I thought, what the fuck, I got this damn phone to take pics....Soooooooo, I acted accordingly. Oddly these phones have not been banned yet from courtrooms. I'm going to try to get a copy of the in court camera footage also so I can watch him cry on the stand over and over...

I am pretty sure there are reasons that they do not allow cameras in courtrooms. I hope for your sake that this thread does not find its way to the judge. :2 cents:

Judges are strange some times.

Ohio law is different and there are grey areas. I operated in a grey area and am confident these will not be used against she or I in any way.

Basically this guy has been stalking her for 2 years now and it has gotten worse over the last couple of months. It's a long story. When the search feature comes back I'll hunt the other 2 threads down.

Arika is from ArikaAmes.com. Site us not done yet, she has been busy on other projects. Some people met her at the PG suite in Vegas.

On another note, there is some irony in this statment...

Following along with the "don't ask questions you do not know the answer" to theory, I had a series of questions that would force him to enter the child porn issue into play when he was under cross examination. Without saying anything specific to that event, he erupted into how it was OK to look at adult websites. He said, "In fact, millions of people do it! It is not against the law. Heck, there are probably thousands of people in this building that do it everyday!"

The judge just kind of gave him a funny look with the expression of "WTF?" on his face...
