Wake Up Call, $100/mill a year players in my back yard

at an online pharm convention in winnipeg tonight.

interesting biz - almost 0 chargebacks. they don't give a shit about visa, as most clients send in checks. dealing with seinors. one guy doing MILLIONS in volume gets 3-4 chargebacks a YEAR - not a day or a month, a year.

got some real interesting info on the mechanics of their biz too

Pharmacy rocks :thumbsup both on- and offline.

A friend of mine works for Pfizer and he says that they spend tons on wining and dining the buying decision makers in hospitals and government. It's so crooked, I love it.

It has to do with the fact that most are seniors - they've had to have their doctors sign documents to get their prescriptions - the online company has proof that they ordered it - their doctor has had to sign and send in their prescription for them. They also cannot return the meds so there are no refunds.

Not the ones that I think Sleazy is talking about.
These are real pharmacies - not the ones in someone's basement. They are trying to shutdown the meds getting into the US because the pharmaceutical companies are complaining on the loss of income. Canadian goverment caps how much a company can sell the product because the government is the biggest buyer of meds :-)

JulianSosa 03-27-2004 12:43 AM

Are they herbal or prescription that are doing 100 mil?

As a medical student drug lunches were always a highlight. Lots of free shit.

:thumbsup

cluck 03-27-2004 01:39 AM

Bottom line, did you get free ludes?

Now about these pharmacies, were they all pretty much "legit"? Do they need an actual prescription or are they the kind that'll just ship you oxycontin and xanax without a second thought?

Online pharmacies? LOL
All someone has to do is place an order, say "I'm out of town on business and ran out of medicine, I dont have access to a doctor" and they ship them right out

AWC 03-27-2004 01:50 AM

ordering from an online pharmacy is easier than buying something on ebay...

prescription? you dont need them.

Depending on the medications, the doctors have to sign a document (at least in Canada) + a doctor from here has to go over the chart - if they don't and get caught (that's what customs and the FDA are waiting for) not only do they lose their business license, the pharmacist loses his license for 2 years. Like I said, could be that the way they operate in the States, in Canada, they are more careful because they are already under attack.

Maybe in the US but not for Canadian pharmacies selling to US citizens.

Pornwolf 03-27-2004 02:05 AM

I used to know one offline pharmacist that kept several million in cash in a house in Jamaica just for easy access to vacation spending money. He didn't live there, he just kept a small portion of his cash there.

I guess I don't have to tell you what kind of pharmacist he was. I don't think he is able to reach that cash through the bars he's behind now.

fuzebox 03-27-2004 02:53 AM

Pharma is definately the way to go... :glugglug

If you've got pharma traffic and want a huge deal, ICQ me

Doctor Dre 03-27-2004 02:58 AM

If ebay would allow us to sell smut membership that would cut the charge back ratio to 99% :)

But Pharma online is certainly doing very well ... I just don't know enough about it to make bling ;(
