Just because you bought it off a website, doesn't make it legal. Just because you have what seems like a legal license to use it, doesn't make it legal.

If you get a knock at your door and it's the Po-Po wanting to know who the custodian of records is for your pics/vids on your website is, are you 100% sure you have the right info? :mad:

whats the point of this post? im sure if anyone suspected they had illegal content they wouldnt use it, otherwise they would use it. do you expect people to start not using content they have bought in case its not legal?

The point is that you think you bought from a reputable producer, you think you have your ass covered legally, everything looks good, then you find out no one want to own up to being the custodian on the set.

checking the records of the content you buy beforehand is just basic common sense

you guys are douche bags. This topic is only for people on GFY that actually make money in this biz which excludes alot of you. dicks.

Back on topic, if you are used to buying from content sites or most importantly GFY "Personalities" people vouch for on here, do some research, 9/10 sets you get were brokered from someone else, and you have a fucking paper trail a mile long to find out who is the actual custodian of records for your content.

Get on with it, tell us who fucked you over in that content deal.

Great plan, but what records do you check? The only person privy to the actual signed model release or the photo ID's are the attorney general, and if you get the photo ID's you become the custodian of record and if they are fake ID's or anything is fuckered on it, you are legally responsible.

Guess I am gonna dump 8 years worth of sites and over 100k pics and start from scratch with my own content company and hire someone to be my custodian of records, it's the only way to be sure.
