Fraud question: these 2 mails from 1 computer??
Hi guys,
Ok, i got a weird question for you. I received an email of one of my clients, and another one that is said to be a guy from France. Now I have a very valid reason to believe these two emails came from the same guy, on the same computer. Both are (figures...) hotmailadresses. Now, when I check the properties of the emails (in Outlook), I see that 'X-originate IP' are the same in both emails. So is most of the headerinformation. Is there anyone here who can tell me if this is from the same guy or not? Cheers! MarcieB |
I could be wrong but if they are coming from hotmail, I think you are getting the info from the 'hotmail' servers.....I could be wrong though.

I was thinking that that could indeed also be the case, but I think Hotmail has a shitload of servers running, so I doubt it if they'd have the same IP. Still, I'm no network guru, so i don't have a clue...
