You have to realise what the "Patent Game" is about. It's about making money from licensing a patent. Not protecting a product or market.

Now the problem arises when Acacia make a good healthy profit from this patent and then the next firm with a BS patent thinks this is the place to come to turn it into a profit. Or do you think Acacia are unique?

We as an industry have to crush Acacia or we will suffer. Did Hustler think for one minute that signing up would hurt their business? Or did they think they could sign up, give money to Acacia so they can screw more of us, not pay ANYTHING towards the fight against Acacia and then when SOMEONE else beats Acacia they will not have to pay the license anymore?

Internet porn will consolidate just like any business sector.

They will be one of the big companies left whatever it takes them to do it..
They'll probably start merging with huge programs at some point
and way down the line payouts will be decreased when webmasters have no longer have any say.

You should support the small operations, not giant corporate ran porn companies.
