Shouldn't the productivity be sky-high?

try doing it. you'll see yourself. they grow too fucking slow.

I tried, had issues with traffic and growth :)

im surprised skimming actually works. it annoys the hell out of me and as soon as i see im not being directed to the gallery i wanted, the window gets closed. i don't imagine they are sending productive traffic for the most part.

Then why are there no-skim text-based TGP's?

Text links get clicked more becasue the surfer doesnt know exactly what they are about to see.

well there ARE noskim thumb tgps too. im just saying in general.

my guess is that *IF* there are more text based tgps that are no skim because of SE traffic. however i never really noticed that there were more text based non skim tgps than thumbnailed ones.

who knows how successful any of these tgps are. i mean do we even know how much profit sleazydream or juicy make on theirs? i have no clue. estimates would vary widly.

There are noskim TGPs. But growth is impossible. It would take 3 years to build decent loyal traffic.

I have a few noskim tgps, traffic is slow but that fine with me. I don't need 100,000 hits a day. Im happy with the low end traffic -- as long as I get bookmarkers. - www.postthumbs.com :thumbsup

I've got a no-skim thumbnail TGP (niche/spanking) that was one of my first efforts in this business. It's got tiny traffic that's not easy to grow. It pays bandwidth and beer money, but that's about it.

pamphage, you are right about this, but is there a compromise situation?

i have 13 no-skim thumb tgps and i'd like faster growth. what trade script would you recommend for a tgp newbie such as me?

i have bought traffic before, but it has not been productive.

my traffic is all niche type stuff, and is productive for me, i'd just like more of it.

depends on the trade....if you stick with similar sites (for ex thumb tgp to thumb tgp) you can keep the momentum of the trade going many clicks deep.

IMHO, trades will often will make strange bedfellows, some are productive and some arent....just depends on the match of the sites (content/design etc).... skimming is however necessary if you want to grow your traffics reach.

nope, they skim traffic to trades. Either with scripts, blind links, or toplists.

WorldSex only skims their traffic to trades in their "Links to other Porn Sites".

Correct, Worldsex has no misleading links to trades. My point was they still send traffic out to receive traffic in. Worldsex gets tons of traffic from Elephantlist, Sleazydream, and a whole world of other sites. Thehun doesnt skim traffic out at all.

You're getting confused between trading, and skimming. The latter is where a percentage of clicks on a content link (such as a thumb) get jerked off to another trade.

You can trade without skimming using toplists, every surfer you deliver to your trade is 100% sure he wants to go there...

but the tgps are only about 90 days old, and traffic IS building, just building too slow (all traffic is coming from recips)

i will look at TTT today as pamphage suggested.
