Jettis - No VISA for EU clients

Important Notice for Jettis EU Clients
November 25, 2003
Dear Jettis EU Client,

As we are sure you are aware, we have witnessed significant changes in the High Risk processing Industry over the past year, but none quite as dramatic as the past six months. Due to the increased scrutiny of this industry by the credit card associations, our EU bank just notified us that it has decided to close this portion of their portfolio as of Friday, November 28, 2003. As a result, we will no longer be able to process your Visa EU transactions after that date. For clarification purposes, Jettis' accounts were in good standing. The bank notified us that their decision to no longer support the processing activities of adult IPSP's was widespread and was not aimed solely at Jettis. It is important to note that this notice has no effect whatsoever on Jettis clients based in the US.

Obviously, this short notice has not left much time to make preparations for Visa processing for our EU clients. We will still continue to process your MasterCard, Discover and ACH transactions without any interruption. We sincerely regret that we were unable to give you greater notice and we realize that this short notice can create a hardship. While we are searching for alternative EU solutions for our clients, we are unable to ensure that we will have them in place by the date referenced above. If you have questions about these changes, we encourage you to contact our Client Services department by telephone at 818-597-4705 or via email at [email protected].

Sincerely,

Team Jettis

BRISK 11-26-2003 08:52 AM

wow

Darkystar 11-26-2003 09:00 AM

damn...did Jettis use the same EU bank as CCBILL does now?
:(

Theo 11-26-2003 09:01 AM

well now this are big news

angelsofporn 11-26-2003 09:05 AM

what bank is it

doober 11-26-2003 09:05 AM

is this because jettis is in California and is US based corp?
Does ccbill & ibill have actual offices in the EU?

AFAIK Jettis has/had a company in UK

BRISK 11-26-2003 09:14 AM

Hopefully they're not just starting their search for an alternate bank now. I would have thought they would have a backup (assuming one was available) waiting and available to take over should things go down the shitter with their current bank.

Theo 11-26-2003 09:17 AM

let's hope they wont pick the same bank with porncash :glugglug

Eman - PG 11-26-2003 09:36 AM

wow so who's left? Ibill, CCBill and Verotel?

polish_aristocrat 11-26-2003 09:37 AM

Is it the end od the world?

directfiesta 11-26-2003 09:39 AM

Bad news.

But a simple conclusion is this:

US originating IPS , even if they opened a EU corp. will eventually loose their processing in Europe., even for EU clients.

They will be fine to process US corp in the US.

EU clients will have to find/go with real EU processor.

LOL, and you say Probilling? Get real. If Jettis has their VISA Europe privileges stripped away, what do you think will happen to Probilling in the end?

They will be nuked like all the others, or globilled, or whatever you want to call it.

abdab_1 11-26-2003 09:56 AM

Folks I keep telling you all there is a UK CC Processor. Less than 10% for Processing :-)

They are happy to work with adult, the only reason I dont post their name is that I am working on a referal basis :-)

With regard to the above post we can (Nochex) offer you a solution for the UK card holders.

Get in touch, for CC Processing [email protected]

for non CC Processing [email protected]

I hope to hear from you :-)

Madball 11-26-2003 10:21 AM

This is one hell of a big annoucement.

Remains to be seen if CCBILL and IBILL EU are hit by this as well.

Thanks

But at the moment I would rather loose the credibility. I think there is enough people who post here who know me well enough to trust me.

I cant post on this board from home as my ISP is blocked so I have to do it cloak and dagger style.

Dont get me wrong I want every possible lead I can get, by the current issue surrounding processors means my contacts are well sort after.

I have had three mails today from this post, if I post the company name I am not going to get any business and that doober is a fact.

:-)

He was trying to offer an alternative to not having a CC processor. The original post was an anouncement, Paul was trying to help.

We've never been one to keep all our eggs in one basket and have been, and continue, to work on an alternate option for our EU clients.

The lack of notice of this event was unfortunate and unexpected as our accounts were in good standing with our EU bank, however we are exhausting all resources to provide another option for our EU clients, ASAP, and will be in communication on the options available moving forward.

At the end of the day I would figure that Jettis will find a way to take care of their clients as quickly as possible. After all if the clients don't make any money, nor do they.

We were in the middle of applying for EU based merchant
accounts a few months ago when Netbilling, oxbill, glo-bill and a
few others had trouble with accounts. ECB was setting us up
with a major bank which then dropped their "high risk" clients.
This seems to be the same thing that's happening to CCBillEU
(can't find the email just now) and PSWBilling with holdbacks.

I said at the time that if this kind of thing carries on it could be a
worry for non-US webmasters as the only way forward would be
to incorporate in the US and report to the IRS and US gov.

It's a conspiricy threoy still at this time but it could be that this is
part of a larger plan to force all webmasters to process in the US
which then makes them an easy target for the DOJ.

Dear Client,

We notified you in a previous notice dated October 20, 2003 that our European processor and acquiring bank held our credit card reserves resulting in a suspension of your reserve payouts scheduled for October 21. As communicated in that correspondence, we have worked with the processor and bank to release the held funds for payout. These suspended reserve funds represent reserves held in March 2003 for February 2003 transactions.

We're pleased to notify you that we were successful in securing the release of the reserve funds and you will receive your suspended reserve payment on your next scheduled payout of November 5, 2003.

Please remember that all reserve payouts will be made to eligible clients unless held by our processor or acquiring bank. Please feel free to contact us with any questions you have at [email protected] or 954.363.4949.

why the funds were frozen by their bank?

The Ibill holdback thing is nothing new. I heard it is because their previous bank is withholding their funds, not their current bank.

Would be nice to have some reassuring posts from Ibill nonetheless.
