Eastern Europe Could Be Great Market for Porn!
But our monthy membership model won't work...They don't make alot of money US $500 a month, but much less in most cases...
Maybe SMS or MMS billing at like $.50 for an our or something like that. Any other ideas for countries with not much money? |
If they can't afford porn how the fuck can you think they can buy a computer or a mobile phone`?

Poorer countries makes for cheaper content - (Except for those content producers who try and fix prices at slightly under the standard American prices) But, as said, the market the selling here is much smaller as wages are very low - A solution to this would create a lot of extra cash |
Yeah what big market are u talking about if theres no fucking money in people pockets? If theres no money neither alternative billing solution will help...

We have 100s local online stores but more that 99% puraches are made by money order and POD. As far as I know in some other richer countries you just can't convince people to pay for something online with cc. Over here we have one or two local pay sites and people paying monthly fee by direct bank transfer :) |

This is a little off topic but in the same nature. Curious...
Does anyone know if there are any SMS bulk services out there? What are the charge rate like per SMS, or are they using other payment structure? |
Over 85% of people in the Czech Republic have mobile phones. The broadband internet connection penetration will be 16% by the end of this year. FYI.

Situation in Bulgaria.
About 3 million cell phones (population is about 8 million) but no SMS billing Everyone has a Cirrus Maestro debit card, but CC are probably less than 20000 :) There is a solution for using the debitcards online and the system is pretty secure. I think that there isn't a single real froad until now. But I'm afraid that you need a company registered in Bulgaria in order to accept debit cards. Phone billing is the only thing that might work. But people are smart and they don't use foreign dialers. They are about 4-5 times more expensive than the local (local, about $0.80/min). Bottom line - you won't make lots of money from Bulgaria :))) Membership scratch cards might work. |

what about a model like a calling card.
you buy the card somewhere, it gets sent to you. or point of purchase. and the first time you use the user/pass on the card activates it for 30 days or whatever? |
