there are more mobile phones and computers than you can shake a stick at ! They use a different billing model, as hank says the price point is the major stumbling block. BTW Hank did you get my email ??

That's a good idea... there are very poor and very rich people in Eastern Europe, no more middle class... mobile phones are spreading like wild fire and they have pcs also at work and at home. Funny but modem users are still charged by min in some countires while dsl is cheap.

Hmm I have noticed that alot of the Gay TGPP's out there are run out of Eastern Europe.. Its a big market...

Wrong! In my country people makes average 600-700$ per month and some of them are willing to pay for porn but billing is the BIG problem! They do not want pay for anything with cc online and that is the REAL problem.
We have 100s local online stores but more that 99% puraches are made by money order and POD.
As far as I know in some other richer countries you just can't convince people to pay for something online with cc.
Over here we have one or two local pay sites and people paying monthly fee by direct bank transfer :)

Over 85% of people in the Czech Republic have mobile phones. The broadband internet connection penetration will be 16% by the end of this year. FYI.

Everyone has a Cirrus Maestro debit card, but CC are probably less than 20000 :) There is a solution for using the debitcards online and the system is pretty secure. I think that there isn't a single real froad until now. But I'm afraid that you need a company registered in Bulgaria in order to accept debit cards.
Phone billing is the only thing that might work. But people are smart and they don't use foreign dialers. They are about 4-5 times more expensive than the local (local, about $0.80/min).
Bottom line - you won't make lots of money from Bulgaria :)))

what about a model like a calling card.

you buy the card somewhere, it gets sent to you. or point of purchase. and the first time you use the user/pass on the card activates it for 30 days or whatever?
