Help with IE

Some genius out there has setup a pop up routine on my internet explorer. Can't figure out how to get rid of it. I've deleted all cookies, files and objects in the IE Tools section.

Don't see any programs in Remove Programs in the control panel.

Even reinstalled IE. Still comes up.

Window 98 and IE 6.

I appreciate the skill this took, but the marketing is misdirected, as I don't see how anyone would ever buy something from someone that has hijacked their browser.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

Edit your hosts file to stop banner ads and popups forever.

rockdude

you have to ley us know the name of the site or company that is running the popup.

you will have to look for it by name, find it, then delete it

The problem may have come from rapidfire.com . I was surfing alexa and went to the site and eventually it forced me to reboot the pc. I also saw it in the objects in IE when I was deleting them.

Here is info on the site:
http://www.alexa.com/data/details/ma...pidblaster.com

Thanks for all your resonses, I will post more details later, as I have moved to another computer for now.

Sorry about the typing in the above reply, rapidfire.com should read rapidblaster.com

Rapidblaster is the culprit, here is an interesting article on it...

Thanks for all your help!
