I know GFY isn't exactly the place to express sentimentality and admiration, but I was very impressed with how well she seems to be doing. If I had been raped, brainwashed and dragged along by two homeless cretins for nearly a year, I'd probably lock myself in a room and stare at the wall all day. Its easy to seem to recover from something of that nature when you are young. I only wish her the best.

She is very mature for her age and of above average intelligence. She obviously is grasping it well now.... in front of the camera anyway. We don't know whats going on behind closed doors and like PerfectionGirls mentioned later in life things may get weird for her.

If you look in the court records n the criminal complaint it says she was "sexually" assaulted by the couple.

According to the info realeased shortly after she returned home, the crackpot tied her up to a tree at the shack (if you can call it that) they had in the hills a few miles away from the Smart's home and raped her. The guy's wife was apparently restraining her as well.

As for the comments about her family making money out of this, they're already quite wealthy. Just look at their house.
