Bruce hasn't been in the band since '96-97 or so. He was out once the original 4 reunited. Kickass guitar player nonetheless...I hope he pulls thru. |

Have you seen the guy they have "playing" Ace? It's almost as bad as when they had the black guy standing in for him during the Kiss Meets the Phantom movie. |

Actually I got Kiss alive 4 and the new guy is a much better player than Ace and if you read Gene Simmons Autobiography. Ace played on very few Kiss albums, he was always too fucked up on drugs. |

in studios I have seen it where a band member comes in to lay down their part and when they leave, the band members get someone else to fix a riff or part, sometimes even the engineer may even lay down a riff or so if the musician cant get it right. it happens EVERY day and ALWAYS goes unreported. sometimes bands do it without the other member ebven knowing, they go through life thinking it was them, ive seen it countless times firsthand. And its been done on MANY MANY MANY million dollar records. |

Now Peter Criss on the other hand...he's missing from entire albums. :winkwink: Alive IV is great. I live the live symphony disc. :thumbsup :thumbsup |
Actually Ace was a big fuck up , I worked at a Mercedes Benz dealership that had daloriens (I think thats how its spelled) before I got there and they talked about how Ace used wreck his car on a regular basis. I met Ace myself when I worked at a club called the country house on the border of CT. A waitress was a friend of his and he showed up one night. He hung out in a back where the service bar was, where I worked. He did mountains of coke and was drooling while rambling to me. THe band that was playing that night invited him up on stage to play. He was so fucked up ,he kept on playing things that had nothing to do with the song .So the sound man shut him off. Ace used to come to the briarpatch, a dive in a bowling alley in Brewster NY that had rock n roll bands. One band was playing and invited Ace up on stage,he was very fucked up. He finished the song and must of been having a kiss flash back because he smashed the kids guitar. So you had the lead guitarist crying and Ace with a dopey look on his face. I have to give him credit, he later made it up to the kid . Giving him pick of any guitar , in a room that had about 50 of them in it.
Actually Paul and Gene were very loyal to Ace and thats why they kept him and he didnt show up for lots of studio time. They encouraged him to write and to sing and he didnt want to do it. |
I got 4 bootlegs of them and i even got the 4 little toy "look a like"
Man because of these assholes i spent like 18 years in bars :helpme thinking i would make it :1orglaugh :1orglaugh :1orglaugh |
Sorry, but I liked Bruce's playing. Live and in videos he stood planted like a tree, but he had some skills, at least.
Before the first reunion tour, I saw a little flyer for Peter Criss and Ace Frehley playing some dinky little club downtown. A few years later they were invited to join the reunion tour. :) I guess they hadn't burned ALL their bridges. BTW, the Kiss and Makeup books rocks. It's not quite as good as Motley Crue's The Dirt, though. :) |
