Tracking down a hostile board poster
 

Good friend of mine and some of you guys is getting attacked on a message board by a knucklehead.

Friend is offering $1k reward for finding the creep.

Any tips?

I'll turn myself in for $750. :)

Aside from the main post, your sig has ACH Debit... They any good? I can't believe this is the first time I saw that ad.

Sounds like he needs a thicker skin.

They are (and honestly, this is an unbiased opinion, or else I wouldn't have their sig) the best. They do nothing BUT checks, don't charge on NSF's, have tons of fraud protection, and inhouse customer service reps who know their stuff. :)

The idiot doing the posting is making accusations against a respectable host, attacking a billing company and trying to blackmail the board owner at the same time. The tosser is on about posting slanderous details on 40 non-adult boards to basically try and ruin the reputations.... With suspicions of it's a competitor or moron, a reward has been issued to track em down.

It would be easy if you posted names boards or something more then you have! Also try contacting the boards owner to get the ip then you can do lots of things to find who this is.

Thanks DJR, I dinna wanna post particulars because I didn't know the legal ramifications but glad to see someone else stand up.

What the poster is doing is just as DJR says. He's attacking people with broad board strokes and makes all kinds of threats. I could see if he followed the proper channels but this dude went way over the top and his allegations could affect us all.

If his claims are true that's one thing, but the way he's doing it whether true or not put his ass in dire jeopardy.

The guy's he's attacking are Mike at Xcite.net and Terry 'TLA' the board owner as well as others.

Tell him to go to one of the sissy boards, this is go fuck yourself, if you can't hang then read the name of the site again, it's good advice
