Take care of yourself and the kids, Tom! Make sure your house is protected and get yourself some groceries, and flashlights. You might be without power etc for a while if that storm hits :)

Good luck!

Good luck, Tom! I've been through a couple of smaller hurricanes growing up in FL and while the damage sucks, they are AWESOME to watch in action. Do as LM suggested and get supplies NOW - you can always use them later if the storm doesn't hit. :)

And don't lose my galleries you're working on!!! (j/k - but you know that :winkwink: )

PerfectionGirls 09-14-2003 08:52 AM

LOL Also looks like it will be one wet weekend in New York for Ninas party! With the path its taking it will be raining like a mofo in NY

Stop working on them and go buy water, LOTS of snacks (trust me on this one - it keeps the kids happy), tarp, a few halogen camping lanterns, a small gas grill if you don't have one, be sure you have a battery operated radio, and as many batteries as you can grab in every size (especially the size that fits gameboy, hehehe).

Living in the woods and being the only person on my power pole, I keep a GOOD supply of emergency things, but seriously, you can't have too much. :)

I feel ya bro.......I'm in Baltimore........they still don't know exactly where it's gonna hit and it could miss us.

TurboAngel 09-14-2003 10:14 AM

Dam Tom buy the looks of that we might get some of it up here in NJ! Good luck and we will be hoping for the best!

What Peaches said, Tom. Trust me, I lived out in the woods too. Sometimes it's weeks before they can get power and that back on after those kinds of storms. Prepare for the worst, and generally you won't get the worst :)
