Schwarzenegger announces bid for governor.

He's been acting like he wasn't going to run, but I knew he would.

http://www.cnn.com/2003/ALLPOLITICS/...nce/index.html

He will be announcing it on the Jay Leno show in a few minutes.

:ak47: <-- Commando.

Turboface 08-06-2003 08:29 PM

Some people don't take Arnold's bid to run for Governor seriously, because he's an actor.

Well, it's worked before.

I'm sure we can make an exception for Arnold.

Ya, that would be embarrassing for him, but you know what? He could just look at the camera, give a thumbs up, and say one of his movie quotes - and he would win the debate.

How can you beat a Terminator?

Calif. Lt. Gov. Cruz Bustamante Breaks Ranks, Announces Run

It looks like Ah-nold will be going up against this guy - and the rest of the freak show (Larry Flynt, Gary Coleman, etc.)

Gary Coleman, who played Arnold Drummond in the 1980s sitcom "Diff'rent Strokes," entered the race Wednesday. (Full story)

However, Coleman, spoke shortly after Schwarzenegger's announcement and predicted that Schwarzenegger would win. Coleman said he would vote for the "Terminator."

That was the funniest piece of the whole article. Now could someone really take Gary Coleman seriously as a political candidate?

scoreman 08-07-2003 07:26 AM

Hey Robocop you still think he's not going to win? Or wait, was it that he will win but he won't get the vote of smart people?

Whachu talkin bout Willis? :)

Libertine 08-07-2003 08:38 AM

I seriously think Schwarzenegger wouldn't be that bad a choice. He's been extremely succesful in three separate areas (including business - he became a millionaire before 30 with his own construction company), which is more than most candidates can say.
