I don't think it was that long ago, I seem to remember looking at their join page in late 2002 and noticing they still didn't have recurring, so I'm thinking they added recurring sometime in the past 6 months.

I think other (big programs) should consider it too. It's sort of like asking everyone to get rid of free porn I suppose, but less free trials would be great.
