on the front page of todays paper "NO STRIPPING ALLOWED" they have now introduced a bylaw preventing adult parlours.

While it was made clear municipalities do not have the authority to prohibit legal businesses within their jurisdiction, it is within their power to regulate their operations, which is what the bylaw is meant to do.


Fricken battered women and some priest where arguing to shut down the strip club here (haha ya theres only 1) .. basically claiming that it causes husbands to go home and rape their wives, that all strippers are whores, drug addicts and abused women.

The club owner, and a stripper have been fighting this with very good press and arguements.. There has never been 1 incident at this establishment unlike other bars in the area that have been shutdown for violations.


Overall it pisses me off that they take away the right for others. I mean obviously the priest and women don't go there, so now they don't want anyone else to go there. What the fuck is that? thats as bad as forcing everyone to your religion and beliefs.. whateve rhappened to freedom?

Blah. it'd be nice if someone reads this but i don't expect much. Anyone else have this problem in their city?

The one strip club that was here was shutdown for similar reasons...but in he past year they had to make new zoning laws and what not...

Here there are only certain areas you can shoot content and ALL those at the shoot need police background checks...

yup, every model you shoot has to go through a police background check...is that normal?

Never heard of anything like that happening here.
I live in Amsterdam though, that might explain it :)

STRIPPING is not allowed in our town either....
