My first sex encounter was one girlfriend claiming to be a virgin who gave me a blowjob right away then I snuck in through her bedroom window for a night of debauchery. Clearly she lied.

Another 2 claimed they were NOT virgins when it was obvious they were.

What gives? I didn't care one way or another but why the false pretense?

Most girls who are virgins are embarrassed. They want the guy to think they are "experienced" and that they'll be good in bed.

Most girls who are NOT virgins probably regret losing their virginity because it was probably to someone who didn't care about them at all (obviously they didn't care TOO much since they aren't still with them) and they think whoever they are dating now will just think they're "easy" and a "slut" if they know they aren't a virgin. So, you tell the guy you're a virgin and hopefully he'll be interested in you for "you" not for the better chance to get laid.

I've never lied about being a virgin, I didn't see the point. But I can understand how some girls might want to. Either way, sex (or lack thereof) can be very embarrassing for a girl. I mean, if you've never done it, guys call you an ice bitch or something. If you HAVE done it, you're a slut, you're easy, you're loose, etc. For a teenager or young woman, it's all very intimidating.
