its all about tweaking your ads,

I see alot of people on this boards saying why does my shit not sell and so on or my conversions sucks,

its jsut a matter of trial and error and keeping at it, I was struck by this today,

I am running a homegrownvideo.com ad on vidsvidsvids.com

this was my first week,

raw uni sales $ conversion
16382 13456 3 60.00 1:4500 abouts


now instead of crying about it and I changed the ad and looked at the problem and this week well the last 4 days anyways

4686 2973 9 $187.60 1:330 abouts

see now if the week continues on average thats like 4 times the sales and pulling less traffic to boot,

so like I said its all about tweaking,

and changing your ads often,

I started using playboy the first week it was out and inthevip the first week, and I make again 4 times the average sales for that spot,

my first day with inthe vip, 14 sales,

anyways, I was looking at this and though I would make a informative type post for once,

What did you tweak about the add that made it 4 times more sucessful?

well initially I had thumb previews of a series, with a text header and text footer to the right of a free download,

it pulled a shit load of hits, like 3K a day but no sales,

so I shot a email to chris cline over at home grown who had cut me the video from there members area

and he was nice enogh to make me a gif for that spot featuring the cream pie video I was running next to it,

so basically a nice banner, with a content tie in, pulled better qualified hits, like 800+ and like 2 to 6 sales a day instead of 1 every 3 days, plus the dialer income doubled also,

this ad is pretty far down my page and always causes trouble for me, but ive been working at it for months, always tweaking, and getting it to perform, better and better

which is the moral of this thread, dont give up, just learn and improve

although some things just cant be avoided,

I was looking at my max cash stats from january 2001,

18,000$ check, 1:200 converion,

I look today, for this month, 1000$ 1:1000

granted all my old maxcash ads are gone except one,

but damm, when I had them everywhere I watched sales go from,

18,000$
to 15000$

to 7000$

all the way to 3000$ before I pulled the ads and got things cooking again,

I was slow to evolve then, but not anymore, I learnt that lesson,

dont go down with shinking ships and dont waste traffic on shit that aint workign anymore,

sit down, think and tweek,

well at the time, oh I think febuary 2001,

I think thats when sales really tanked for the whole industry,

at least they did for me,

I was heavy into maxcash number 1 and the ftc fucked them up

and well they are great, payed me all my money, but conversions went south, like 1:200 to 1:2000 in 2 months,

and thats after me getting 1:200 for over 1 year, so I was fucking taken aback, like the sky is falling and shit,

and yah I blamed them, but you know, that was jsut how things were,

new things have come around, great ways to make money,

nastydollars.com bangbus, deluxepass, adult bouncer, have all done great things for me,

but I can say, I used to get 2 checks a month, adult check and maxcash,

now I get 20 checks, granted all smaller, but I sleep better knowing I got my ear to the grown and I got my shit TWEEKED
