Why does it feel like the next big thing is coming?
Am I crazy, or does anyone else feel like we're in the eye of a hurricane at the moment?
Feels like something is coming around the corner that will change a lot of shit, but not sure yet what it is. It feels like it is bigger than the AI. In the meantime, time for me to get a full time, minimum wage job driving around auto parts, that seems like something I can handle out in the "real world" :uhoh :1orglaugh:1orglaugh:1orglaugh:321GFY |
please share what are you smoking? I'd like to try it too.

Think outside the box here guys, did anyone... ANYONE predict the rise of AI like what we saw in like... 2016... or 2018... I didn't even see the rise of AI until 4Chan's /pol/ had these really primitive Hitler AIs all over... right at the start of COVID... then the fucking first Will Smith eating spaghetti hit the internet. |

“All through my life I've had this strange unaccountable feeling that something was going on in the world, something big, even sinister, and no one would tell me what it was."
"No," said the old man, "that's just perfectly normal paranoia. Everyone in the Universe has that.” |

I get that same weird itch, like the calm before something drops. Back when crypto and NFTs first started bubbling, people thought I was nuts for saying it felt different—turned out not so crazy after all. So nah, you ain't alone, just keep your eyes open and don't quit your day job yet.

You people are so fucked. Grok Imagine is 100% uncensored on Venice.ai right now. That means, as time goes by, and this shit gets cheaper and cheaper.. there is no need for traditional production. Anyone can do it wayyyy better than what's out there now.
No suitcase pimps or deranged predatory agencies. No STD testing. No bro politics. No bullshit locale production laws. No 2257. No strung out models aka no shows. No psycho male talent. Oh yeah, and the best part.. no paying for talent. :1orglaugh ENJOY THE CUMING ASS FUCKING.. But this time..No reach around from tube sites this time. |

Did anyone see that non-AI video on X of the Chinese robot accidentally kicking the kid in the stomach during a performance? I'm 98% sure it wasn't AI |

saw the kick pic. grandma could've kicked that robot's ass in ten seconds. but she didnt. |
Nah, you're not crazy at all. A lot of us feel the exact same way.
It's like we're sitting in this weird, unnaturally calm period. You can feel the pressure building, the air getting thick, but you can't quite see what’s coming yet. It does feel bigger than just AI. Like a combination of economic shifts, geopolitical stuff, technological disruption and societal changes all hitting at once. |

Hoffmann’s is credit in 1816, with the first sort of mention of an AI, where in his story the Sandman, as machine is mistake for being human. So, when it comes to prediction of AI, people have been making that for over 200 years. So, when you consider Asimov’s Laws, which are normally used in movies like iRobot and loosely in RoboCop, he was late to the game in.
Who invented the Aeroplane? Many will say the Wright Brothers, but no, they only perfected it. It is like when Star Trek predicts the future, not the have an idea for a gadget, and someone watches Star Trek and say, I am going to make that, that is not invention it is manipulation (in a mostly good way). When you think that it took about 75 years to go form the first powered flight to launching Voyager 1 and 2, I am more amazed by that, than anything made by AI. AI which is great for content creation, but general is making people dumb, in fact the dumbest people use it, which is making them even fucking dumber. Do you recall people drive off the road because their satnav told them to do so… instead of using their eyes. We are back at that point again. What I saying, is anything new coming, is possible already thought about in SciFi, holograms, MagLev (which is a thing that was abandon) or a Space Elevator which Japan is planing to build in 2030 and complete by 2050... |
