I'm icelantic canadian- which means my ancestors were VIKINGS.

but. i'm about 1/16 cherokee, a good part german, some irish (our family has a big mound in ireland. yes, a mound.), and the rest stems from england.

Ok. i'll be honest. No i don't.

i'm just an irishman. i'm like the fourth gen. of my family to be born in america. my last name is actually even a county in ireland. that's where all my ancestors are from.

Which culture? I am largely german (immigration pre-1900), somewhat french canadian, and like most people mostly mutt. Do you mean one of my ancestral cultures? Or the modern culture we're all swimming in? Or cultures like the Egyptians, Greeks, and Romans, who passed things to eachother and then to the europeans who have influenced much of US culture? Or do you mean the chinese, african, arabic, etc. cultures that filled in the rest?

I am mostly Russian, Polish, and I just discovered Irish.

I know nothing about being any of those three.

I do know I can screw a light bulb in on my own without any help and silly comments.

oh yeah, i'm also related to wild bill hickock, bill tilman (the sherriff), and some famous old author from out east, who's name escapes me. dammit, i even visited his house once. argh. his name is on the tip of my tongue... bleh!

one side of my family is completely German. the other side i German/Russian/Ukrainia and beyond that, a mix.

both sides came over to Canada in the 1800's...

my family had a feud. that was great.

Why is it bad that various cultures are coming together, and divisive borders are melting away? I like living in a culture influence by Buddha almost as much as Christ, and Plato as much as either of them.

Kinda hard to keep track of them all since I'm mostly German, then

...Irish, Scottish, Dutch, English, Italian, French, Greek, Russian, and American Indian (Cherokee)
