If a site is making 1-2K a month why would I sell it?

I'll sell you all my sites that make 1-2K a YEAR. LOL

Good luck tho! :thumbsup

Strange question.

You are basically asking why somebody would sell anything? You must know that doesn't make a lot of sense. It may not make sense in your situation, if that's what you are suggesting.

People sell for many reasons. Their time is occupied by something else, it's not the most efficient way of spending their time. They have other investment opportunities that would allow their money go to farther, do you want me to go on? Perhaps they have something they need to put the money towards

Time is money. Say I offered 2 years of profits, waiting 2 years makes it so you are not able to spend that money for a full 2 years. Investment opportunities aren't always available, not everybody can wait and collect their 1-2k. Also a lot of people tend to spend money when they obtain it in small amounts. Which is why most people do not have a savings
Then there are potential scenarios where the paysite/s declining to a point where it will fail to make a profit in 3 years, so accepting 2 years of earnings to get a 2 year headstart in something else sounds great, perhaps the person youre selling to can make the most out of the emails, userbase and has the content to improve sales enough to extend it a year and profit. Maybe the person that owns it buys content, maybe the person offering to purchase it is a shooter and can lower the costs , creating profit where there wasn't profit before? Affiliate and user databases are more or less valuable depending on the person.

I could probably come up with 50 scenarios where the idea of selling makes sense to both parties. BUT I am pretty sure you could as well, hence my skepticism when it came to the question in the first place

I personally would never waste my time working on something or sitting on something that generated income in that bracket

I have personally sold old programs that generated money so that I could put a larger sum towards a more relative business model, that's how I got to where I am.

I sold my TGPs because they occupied too much time scanning galleries and images and adding and removing trades and buying and selling traffic. All for an income I wasn't happy with, nor did I like the upside. I sold it and put the money towards paysites. Sold that and put the money towards a platform. Now that platform generates more than anything I have had in the past, plus the upside is sky high

Would not have been able to achieve that without giving up on an outdated business model. I can say i would have been far behind the curve if I had waited years to save up my profits vs selling

To be honest, I will probably sell again

Also when I say steady in its sales, i more so mean predictable/consistent. It can be steadily declining. Though obviously I do not have much interest if that pace is very quickly.

i can get that tbh....

a website making a grand a month, if itīs costing 4 shoots, 1 each week, youīre not even breaking even.

although, a website doing a grand a month and itīs just ticking over on itīs own, no added content or work, well, itīs worth selling now while itīs making money for someone else to work on it, other wise it wonīt be making that in a few months....

think business, we all can make money :2 cents:

and while youīre at it Pseudonymous, if you have any space for text link or banner, please, as a trial, itīs a win win for you btw, add one of my banners or a txt link and see what happens when you send a couple of hundred hits, all signed up and making money in return. You can let these GFYers know that my site sells and makes a godo turn over for traffic to sale :thumbsup

Oh I agree there are many reasons to sell and you laid out many of them. :) For me, if someone where to offer 2 years of profits I would sell immediately. However, most do not offer that (typically six months to a year max.

Also, the other issue (for me) would be: what would I invest that money in? I would love to discuss this "platform" you are currently working with as it may be something I would like to try. I've wanted to get into straight cam/dating promotions instead of strictly paysites for a couple years now but have been hesitant to try building those kinds of sites. There seems to be so much competition and I do not want to get into the buying traffic circle jerk so many engage in.

Anyway I agree with your strategies!! Great to se a real business person doing real business on GFY again!! :thumbsup:thumbsup
