Personally i have never had a problem with Derek, maybe because he is a Brit. I know when i first came to San Diego and started using his models he would blast me with a huge number of questions about the shoot, who would be there, who was the male talent, etc, etc. It took many months before he got to know me. This all pointed to him looking out for the talent or at least thats what i thought at the time ?

I must have shot at least 300 -500 models from Derek over the years and really only had one issue. A no-show, which he took amazingly seriously. I know he blasted the model and fined her for not communicating with him or me. He has a reputation for being strict with talent which could lead to him having quite a few enemies. But who knows, seems a pity to spoil a good thing. He used to get around $100 a day per model and he had at the time well over 50 models so even if only 10% worked each day thats $500 just to sit in an office all day plus he used to charge models for lodgings, plus.plus.plus.

I did tend to favor TYPE 9 Models as they had a better selection of new faces.

first time the model was freaked by my tatts and would not shoot with me, 2003 I think, no pay for the day. lost money. back when la direct was about 5 girls.

second time a model was a no show, the agency kept me on location with a story until I had about $800 in kill fees. did not make money, lost money

booked a shoot with a model, derrick pre approved the boy. the model would not work with the boy. had to pay the boy a full shoot fee. derrick would not let the model do solo so I could recoup some cost. lost $500 and did not get paid. derrick sent $200 over after I harassed him for a few weeks. did not make money, lost money.

fran called one day and told me they were bringing a girl over to the model house..
. it was a dump job, she stayed a few weeks got no work and left. lost money did not get paid...


so 4 tines I guess over the course of 16-18 years. happy now? you gotta remember I was a shooter. one year I had over 400K in model fees alone.....

several models have told me personally that derick cut their work until they were so hungry they did privates for him.

the guy made the girls fuck him for work. yup nice guy. you ever talk with a model you shoot? hang out with any? it would be really nice if the biz was like you saw it.

No i didn't talk about agents with models unless of course they volunteered to. But i don't ever remember a model talking bad about Derek or Kevin and remember i never actually met them, me living and working in San Diego and their office in LA . Thats not to say the allegations are untrue, but my limited contact with Derek & Kevin resulted in very professional interactions. I was more interested in getting the best out of my models by joking around to put them at ease. Having almost 50 years of shooting porn in the UK and USA, i have seen and heard a lot of weird stuff that i try to stay out of. I think i have been lucky never to have had to report models or agents to the cops. But never say never!

If a model did all those gigs and only ended up with $400+ I find that disgusting

I'm not surprised that this kind of bullshit happens but I'm absolutely surprised that it's Ben being accused. I always preferred dealing with him and Spiegler over South and Reb and never had a problem.


Keeping performers out of work has been going on since forever and absolutely any big mouth asshole could fuck up someone's month. Seems like things haven't changed since the last time I shot there. --- Hey, is the Tuxford still available for shoots?

When I had dealings with him, (In the UK when he was talent) before he came to the USA and started the agency, I was told that he had dual citizenship.

the models rattle on, just listen... the stuff I heard is just stuff I heard. no guarantee of any truth to it. like the stuff on me, none of it's true... I was accused of rape about 4 times, each time by another producer. I'm not emotionally capable of rape to be honest about it, however once you start shooting sex you get a big target on your back. I only shot sex for about 14 years. same with being an agent.

a model told the company I shot for that I was inappropriate when i gave her a ride home. all she did was talk about her privates, all I did was I drive.. . thing is I wouldn't book her behind her agents back for the next shoot... she didn't care for that much... lol!!

that was for $100 just imagine when there are contracts worth thousands up.... models have called the cops on me twice. one model called 911 and said she was being raped at a pool party. middle of winter, all be herself. drugs. the other situation was similar, just bullshit, the cops were on my side both times.

most shooters don't believe much of what is said by the models, male or female. same animal basically. doing the same thing. just the crowd at GFY and maybe mike south sometimes.

and like you said both derek and kevin were always gentlemen. I'm possibly just pissed for K dumping out like that. left a bunch of stuff hanging.

No but Reb once had me in stitches laughing with his version of Marco freaking because someone left the door open and he couldn't find his cat.

If you're referring to me, I only ever hired a handful of girls from Reb over the years, and I'm sure I never told him I had a cat.

I can safely say that it's not an industry secret that you have a cat. Also, I 'm pretty sure that only Mike Hott ever exclusively hired Reb's girls. The rest of us pretty much just used Reb's services once in a blue moon.

Oh and I love my dog about as much as you love your car and there's nothing wrong with that.

I did well over 1,000 bookings with LA Direct when I shot in the US.

They were always beyond professional and when we had issues with their talent, which of occurred, they always took care of the problem
