Now Trump will veto it, then congress will fail to have enough votes to override the veto. McConnell knows this.

Today's vote was just a warning sign to Trump that he's losing the support of Republican establishment and most importantly, the Senate majority, which has been letting him play tyrant for 2 years.

ALL of the Dem leaders voted for the wall before Trump got in. Now he's in and all of a sudden walls are racist. Mark, you're familiar with the comcept of gaslighting, right? The Dems are doing it on the issue of the border. Please don't fall for it. All countries need to defend their border. It is the president's duty to make sure it happens.

I'm happy to see some Republicans actually standing up to him. This won't change anything because they can't overturn the veto, but it will be interesting to see what happens with those Republicans that voted for this and are up for reelection in 2020. Not to mention, it sets the stage for the next Democrat POTUS to do the same with their projects they can't get congress to approve.
