Tumblr Conundrum

I've seen / read multiple threads about Tumblr's TOS changes' impact on adult content marketing. And based on what I've read, are there seriously NO genuine opinions on this matter?? Or are you all just guarding your sources?? Or did fewer people utilize Tumblr's amazing benefits than I had thought??

I've personally looked into Tumblr alternatives, as I've lost TONS of richly unique, niched traffic that converted easily. I have also lost Tumblr-direct revenue and of course outside site-traffic related revenue because of the TOS change. The alternatives seem to be lackluster, at best.

Sure, Twitter and Reddit seem to be easy go-tos, but they aren't Tumblr. You can't freely post adult content on Twitter and have your following blow up steadily. Twitter is dubious about their adult content tolerance. With Reddit, niche subreddits typically pick up on you for dropping links to the same handful of sites. That is, if you can even find a subreddit in your niche that has active engagement.

Many Tumblr refugees flocked to MeWe, but they are risking losing all their posts as MeWe has a fairly straightforward 'no adult content' rule. Blogr.xxx is another that is buggy & has bit of a learning curve in using. BDSMlr is similar, yet has limited flexibility for finding and/or creating specific niches.

I also don't know much about the traffic any of these alternatives are pulling in and shelling out.

Any insight on them would be appreciated!!

I can only advise you about Reddit - you should start your own sub, and watch it grow slowly (or fast). I did that , also used an applet that automatically posts to my sub, and as a result I get some traffic and steadily growing followers on my sub.

Tumblr was fast growing way but Twitter and Reddit are still best.
Just need some time...

Bdsmlr is still the only one with anything to offer :2 cents:

You should maybe check out adultnode.com ?

Btw I would be a little careful putting too many eggs in Twitter... But wtf do I know.
