Exceeded google analytics monthly hit limit
So I exceeded analytics hit limit and now it's giving me a warning message. There is no way I'm paying $150k per year for premium. Is there any way to get around it? Do they ever do anything other than warn you? Ya, I know rough problem.

What's the google analytics hit limit per month?
Is it per site or for the whole account? |
It's 10 million hits per month per site. Apparently you have to go way over before they'll actually give you any sort of warning though.
Potential options: > set a sample rate > split up traffic across multiple user accounts > use something else > ignore warning > pay $150k per year (wtf???) Has anyone simply just ignored the warning? Has google ever taken action against anyone on this? What do they do? Stop tracking? Shut down access? They haven't emailed me or otherwise contacted me. I only see a warning on one site. |
wow you are really a traffic titan :)

First:
Congratulations :) there are several options: 1. split the page into different accounts. maybe member area as another account? 2. unfortunately with such a number of visits it is expensive, I suggest CLICKY.com (I use it) - it will probably be cheaper than google analitycs. 3. the best free solution is https://matomo.org. you would need to configure the server, preferably with loadbalance eg DigitalOcean. or VPS on NVMe disks. ask mojohost for it:) 4. when talking about hosting on NVM, I would suggest clouvider.co.uk even buying a VPS + matomo will be cheaper than clicks or google analitycs. me personally. I would go in direction 4. hosting nvme on clouvider and matomo. |

You should probably get rid of some traffic to save that $12.50 a month.

The 2 massive benefits from 360 are the certified ga tech and the ga custom data driven algos you would have access to. Otherwise, I'd analyze and clean out the data, goals, spam data, internal ip block, etc to drop your hits <10m |
First you should be proud of that, then it means you need to find another stats solution
|
Hire a coder and make your own counter.
|
https://clicky.com/ is a good alternative for Google Analytics ;)

Yeah, just hire a programmer for a few months.

I always just create a new property and you're good for another 6 months or so, can be just in the same account, has been working for me for years

I'd look into buying something that you can install on your own Dedicated server. There used to be a ton of options but i haven't looked into it lately. Self-hosted analytics.

just ignore the warning,

10M? I remember your sites in gold age of porn... But i did know you are doing so well these days, congratz man! :)
About your question, I am seeing very big tube sites and pic ones using ga with sample rates |
You can run your own stats system with Matomo (formerly Piwik). It's 100% free. You can run that on a separate VPS or server.
|
Install PIWIK?

Good morning everyone! TrafficTitan, we will be following up with you soon to discuss server requirements for your stats software. Thank you for the inquiry, Natalie and I look forward to speaking with you soon about a MojoHost solution.
All my best, Brad Mitchell |

I see what you did there.
