How good is reddit

I have seen Seos opting for Reddit for website promotion, as an Seo/Web Marketer how good it is for marketing purposes. Does it bring traffic?

lovebitch 03-03-2018 09:05 PM

Reddit can bring tons of useless traffic most of them use adblocker, Not worth it if they don't see your ads.

j3rkules 03-04-2018 02:15 AM

Reddit's traffic is not converting well, but you can use it for branding.

Pretty much so.

vegasbobby 03-04-2018 09:00 PM

Reddit ok. but you need to test as many platforms as you can.

omgitsmike 03-05-2018 04:14 PM

Do reddit in-post links have any SEO value?

Links in the original post tend to fare better than those in comments.

adultchatpay 03-19-2018 05:43 AM

Reddit people are there because they want free stuff.
There is still a market there but very targeted.

Hanszipp 03-19-2018 05:46 PM

If you planing on affiliate, wasted time, if mod doesn't like you or they get reported, bam all your work suddenly dissapeared

It can bring you a lot of traffic, just be careful, all popular Reddit groups have some special rules. Just follow them and you will be easily promoted

emmasexytime 10-31-2018 05:11 AM

Can someone please help me with reddit and how to get some posts on there?

Reddit is the world 6th most visited website. It has huge userbase. You can promote or use it to get updated. Some adult related sub-reddits are there where you can promote. Make sure your read the guideline of that sub-reddit before doing anything.

chaze 11-02-2018 11:51 AM

I think it's junk, but does help some. Most people on Reddit are kids with no cash.

Reddit can bring tens of thousands of visitors to your site. but they won't be return visitors. Reddit is shit to promote on since you have to very closely read each channels rules. There is just too many rules that if you don't jump through the hoops you can easily get your website url banned from across reddit all together.

Tons and tons of traffic, BUT just like anything mainstream you need to know a little bit of marketing to get results and not just spam (like in adult).

Cheers.

DonaldNee 12-16-2018 06:31 PM

Reddit is fine.. if you are child who can attract other childs :)

billygunz 12-29-2018 04:22 PM

It really surprises me how poorly reddit traffic converts considering how well you can target your promotions.

eric_wahlberg 01-01-2019 06:24 AM

Thanks for your comments.

But for sometime, my reddit score is still stuck at 245. It's not moving up. What should I do. Here is the link

PornDude 01-22-2019 02:07 PM

Reddit traffic is the best traffic you will never convert :P

Tinalid 01-30-2019 07:12 AM

if you can find your niche in subreddits, then it can bring you profit from reddit.

Lexi BongaCash 02-25-2019 06:44 AM

It's sick how people keen on reddit. And the users are very active, so at least not bad for branding

HighTechBucks 02-27-2019 06:44 AM

Reddit traffic = Twitter traffic

Chuchu68 08-08-2021 01:17 AM

still same a few months ago

ValerieMeshko 10-13-2021 12:24 AM

In the hands of skilled marketers this site brings good traffic, if only knew how to do it, it would have long been engaged in this

Similar experience here.

carlAce 10-31-2021 11:39 AM

It can bring a bit of $ but requires a lot of effort.

I would say its good for branding, redgifs is a good example.

INever 11-01-2021 05:52 AM

The low IQ level there has its advantages.

chaktty 11-16-2021 06:02 AM

I think reddit is hit or miss. While it worked for some,it does not work for others in terms of leads.

Sure, you can get tons of traffic depending on your niche and the subreddit you explore, but converting the traffic is pain.

However, i now find quora working well for me, you need to develop tactics to make it work anyway.

OmahaJoe 12-08-2021 10:56 AM

Reddit only really works if you really have time to dedicate to it. For most of the reddit work I do I try and build community and use over 100+ accounts to post content. In most cases you cannot just drop a link and be done.

So if you are looking to make a sound long term traffic investment be ready if your just looking for traffic not the spot.

Especially if you don't spam the shit out of it.

Roler 12-14-2021 01:41 PM

I didn't benefit from it.

reddit is definitely not bad. but really, it's better not to stop there. the more variety of sites, the more likely to attract an audience.

But Reddit needs more work compared to Twitter

Coybh 01-11-2022 11:39 AM

It's OK, I would say the overall conversion rate is lower, but it seems like those who do convert are more "whales" than average joes.

I'm driving around 150-200k uniques a month from reddit at the moment.

RyanGS 01-18-2022 07:43 AM

I think its pretty good

semiraga 01-18-2022 08:34 AM

If anyone wants to buy a 100,000 subscribers subreddit - message me

stone8tower 01-31-2022 03:30 PM

Used to be better

FansCity 02-08-2022 01:34 AM

If everything is done correctly, then the result is not bad.

romeo22 02-13-2022 08:55 AM

It's was one of the best social media for adult but seems to many fake accounts there

darkec 02-19-2022 03:37 AM

For me reddit is good to get some traffic, like really minor traffic. I've been trying to use adult subreddits and post there, post link to my site but it didn't help much

Most of the adult subreddits lock down URLs, your post probably won't be seen in most subreddits.

TacoLoco 06-22-2022 08:37 PM

Large traffic full of people looking for tree stuff only. In some cases it may be useful but overall it was mentioned well already that it's like Twitter traffic.

MAF 06-27-2022 08:53 AM

I find it really hard to get stuff posted on there. Building 'Karma' takes ages.

Post a timely newsworthy article in a major sub. A few times and you'll eventually score a big viral big karma post.
