Pretty Link Lite , not working?!
 

Hi guys,

Just trying to cloak my referall links, using the banner referal links provided by the sponsors.

Installed the Pretty link Lite and activated, then:

Redirection: 301 permanente
Target URL: i copy pasted the link that is associated to the banner
Pretty Link: my website link/ whatever i want

No Follow: Checked
Tracking: Checked

Then copy pasted the new link and pasted exactly to where was the old one... when i go to the post on my website and put the mouse over the banner, it show the new link, but when i click on the banner it redirects to the sponsor, but it shows the ugly affiliate link in the broswer.

Can anyone let me know what i am doing wrong?

If i understood right...you are trying to hide aff link and it's working.Your concern is about how ugly is the link once the visitor is taken to the sponsor's page?

IMHO you shouldn't care and you can't do nothing about it.That visitor is reffered by you and it's all you should care.

Thanks for the reply, as a newbie we cant avoid some stupid questions....

I thought that after clicking in the banner, the link that shows in the new open page would be also cloaked. So Pretty Link Lite will only cloack when you have the mouse over the banner in my website, once clicked will shows the referal link, nothing to do against that right?

It is ok, it is just your own affiliate link.

There is nothing you can do and this is how it is supposed to work.You are hiding aff links only on your server.Anyway,once the visitor clicks another link on sponsor's page,it will be nice and pretty.
